Terms of use
Last updated: October 21, 2026
1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of Inspired One (inspired.one), a writing workshop published by NICOCONUT, SAS, 99 avenue de la République, 75011 Paris, France (RCS Paris 837 661 156).
By creating an account, that is by signing in with Google, you accept these terms. If you simply read a published text without an account, sections 6, 8 and 9 apply to you.
2. The service
Inspired One lets you write texts and keep all their versions. You can write statements of intent and style notes, organize your texts into thematic arcs, gather references and discuss in comment threads. You can connect your own AI, through an MCP server, so it comments on and rewrites your texts, and, if you wish, turn on the immediate reply of an Inspired One AI in your threads. Finally, you can publish your texts if you wish, and receive comments from your readers.
Free beta. The service is currently in beta and free; no payment is required. It is provided "as is". It may change, contain errors, be interrupted or discontinued. If we shut it down permanently, we will try to notify you by email early enough for you to retrieve your texts. We recommend keeping your own copies of your important texts.
3. Your account
- Sign-in is through a Google account only. You are responsible for that account's security.
- If you publish, you choose a public handle (inspired.one/<handle>). It must not impersonate a person or an organization, or be misleading. You can change it at most once every 7 days; your old handle is then released.
- You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time, by email to nicoconut@nicoconut.com (self-service deletion is not yet available). Deletion takes place within 30 days.
4. Your texts belong to you
You keep all rights to your texts and to everything you put in the workshop.
You grant NICOCONUT a non-exclusive, free, worldwide license, limited to what is needed to provide the service. It covers:
- hosting and storing your texts and their versions, including in backups;
- reproducing and displaying them for you;
- passing them to the AI you connected, when you authorize it;
- passing them to OpenAI, our processor, if you turn on the immediate AI reply, for the time needed to generate its replies in your threads and the summary of your texts that gives it its bearings;
- for the texts you choose to publish only: displaying them publicly, with the share image, and allowing search engines to index them.
This license lasts as long as your content is hosted on the service. It ends on unpublishing (for public display) or on account deletion, subject to the technical time needed to purge backups. It does not allow us to sell your texts or to use them to train an artificial intelligence model.
5. The AI you connect
- Your AI (Claude by Anthropic, ChatGPT by OpenAI, or another MCP client) accesses your texts only with your authorization. You can revoke this access at any time in your Settings.
- Your AI acts under your account with its provider and under that provider's terms: Inspired One itself sends it nothing and is not responsible for that provider.
- Actions your AI takes on Inspired One with your authorization (creating a version, commenting…) are deemed to be taken by you.
- You remain responsible for content produced by your AI that you keep or publish. In particular, make sure it does not reproduce someone else's work without permission.
Immediate AI reply (optional). Inspired One does not send any of your texts to an AI provider, unless you turn this feature on in your Settings (it is off by default). An Inspired One AI, based on an OpenAI model, then replies in the thread as soon as you comment on your text; to do so, the commented text and its versions, its threads, its arcs, its brief and its references (links, file names, comments and excerpts of attached documents) are sent to OpenAI — the full text once per version, to summarize it. It may also modify the style notes of the work-in-progress version (the "WIP" version in the workshop), which you can review and correct at any time (their previous state is kept). When you validate a thread with "Validate and apply", it applies that thread's decision to the text of that same version right away and says in the thread what it changed (before → after); the previous, frozen version is not modified, and you can edit the text at any time. Its replies and changes, signed "IA Inspired One", are generated automatically and may be inaccurate: you remain responsible for what you keep or publish of them. You can turn it off at any time; a reply already being prepared is completed.
6. Publishing
- Publishing is always your choice. A published text is accessible to everyone at inspired.one/<handle>/<text> and may be indexed by search engines.
- Every published text carries the mention "Written with the help of AI using Inspired One."
- You can unpublish at any time. We do not control copies that third parties or search engines may have made in the meantime.
- You are solely responsible for what you publish.
7. Reader comments
- Anyone can read comments. To comment, you must sign in with Google. Your comment is signed with your handle or, if none, "First name L.", never your email.
- Everyone can delete their own comments. Limits apply against spam (number of comments, length, duplicates).
- Moderation happens after publication. The author of the text can hide a comment, block a reader across all their texts, or close comments. The operator can also hide or remove a comment that breaches these terms or the law.
8. Rules of conduct
You must not publish or post illegal content, including: hateful, harassing, threatening or defamatory content, content violating others' privacy or personal data, content infringing a protected work, or content glorifying terrorism or child sexual abuse.
You must also not spam, circumvent the service's limits, impersonate anyone, or harm the security or operation of the service.
9. Reporting illegal content
- Reader comment: use the "Report" link under the comment (sign-in required). The report goes to the author of the text and may be reviewed by the operator.
- Any other content (published text, author page, or a comment if you have no account): write to nicoconut@nicoconut.com.
So that we can act, please include: the exact address (URL) of the content; the reasons why you consider it illegal; your name and email address (except for certain serious offences, such as child sexual abuse material); a statement confirming that your report is made in good faith and that the information is accurate.
We handle reports diligently. When we remove content or restrict an account, we inform the person concerned and state the reasons, unless the law prevents it. They can contest the decision by writing to us.
This address is also our point of contact for authorities and users under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA), in French or English.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time.
We may suspend or close an account in case of serious or repeated breach of these terms: illegal content, spam, abuse, security attacks. Except in urgent cases or where the law requires otherwise, we inform you beforehand, with the reasons, and you can respond.
11. Liability
For content published by users, Inspired One acts as a hosting provider: we are not liable for such content unless manifestly illegal content has been reported to us, in which case we act promptly.
As the service is free and in beta, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee continuous availability of the service, the absence of data loss, or the quality of content produced by your AI or by the Inspired One AI. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. Significant changes will be announced by email or on the site before they take effect. If you do not accept them, you can stop using the service and ask for your account to be deleted.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, please write to us first to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the courts of Paris have jurisdiction, subject to the rules that allow consumers to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.
